Late-breaking Abstract Submissions for WORLDSymposium Close December 1, 2021

Late-breaking abstract submissions will be open November 1 to December 1, 2021. Abstracts must be submitted and finalized no later than 11:59 PM CST on December 1, 2021. After December 1, 2021, all late-breaking abstracts will be considered final and no changes can be made. The first author of the submitted abstract will be notified of acceptance for poster or possible platform presentation by December 15, 2021.

WORLDSymposium 2022 will again present “Late-Breaking Science Friday” at the 2022 meeting. Up to 12 abstracts may be selected for this section, based on the quality and content of the submitted abstracts. Authors who submitted abstracts prior to the October 1, 2021 deadline, are welcome to resubmit for this category if a) they were not selected for a platform presentation for their abstract, and b) they have updated information which impacts the quality of the science in the submitted abstract.

Click here to submit an abstract.

All platform presenters must be able to present LIVE (in-person). Poster presenters will have the option of presenting LIVE or VIRTUAL.

When the abstract author submits the late-breaking abstract, they will be given choices on how they want to present.

Abstracts are required to be no more than 300 words in length and may not contain images or figures.

(Late-Breaking abstracts are only published in program materials created for attendees, and are NOT published in Molecular Genetics and Metabolism.)

Prior to submitting, the first author will be asked to confirm the following statement:  By submitting this abstract, I agree I have permission from all co‐authors to provide their names, degree, institution, city, country, and email address, along with their financial disclosures for the purposes of considering this abstract for presentation at WORLDSymposium 2022. (For more information about WORLDSymposium Data Protection and Privacy Practices, please visit the Data Protection Policy page.)

All author and co-author contact information and conflict-of-interest information must be provided at the time of abstract submission. An abstract is only considered complete when a green checkbox appears, stating that the submission is complete. At that time, abstract submitters can request a confirmation email to be sent to all authors.

For technical support with the abstract submission system, please contact OASIS: 217-398-1792 (Monday through Friday 9:00 AM -5:00 PM Central Time). For questions regarding deadlines, topics, or other non-technical questions, please contact Amber Brown at

It is the policy of WORLDSymposium to publish all abstracts with the list of authors exactly as the abstract was submitted to WORLDSymposium. The first author of the submitted abstract will be listed as the presenting author on the Preliminary Program, Agenda, and/or Poster List.
